Sealskins Treasures is pleased to announce that they are adapting their sealskin sewing skills to meet the demand for local need of PPE in Newfoundland and Labrador during the Covid 19 pandemic.  They are using special materials used to make gowns and face shields for provincial medical facilities and workers.

The group overseeing this project using crafters, small to large scale businesses who got involved with PPE production is TaskforceNL. Laurie Pitcher, owner of Sealskin Treasures, is thrilled to be involved with the project noting it opens new doors for possible production of PPE to national and international markets now that Health Canada has approved their work under strict guidelines.
